It was very nice meeting you. I apologize that we did not get a chance to sit down and talk more. I appreciate the coverage and look forward to working upcoming events together.
James, some very nice shots of the old skool Porsches, 917 is still one of my favourite race cars in short tail form.
Keep up the good work.
Great pictures James!
Do you actually own all theses cars?…you are too humble
That’s not his missile!!! Waaay too nice for that. The missile has an SR in it and is all busted.
Hahaha that camper/car is hilarious!
Great article and pictures. It was such a great event!
This measage is for jeff. Jeff i have a 1984 arabth guide that you might be interested in. It has the orifinal box xover and the book is in pristine condition. I did leave a voicemail with my number on your answering machine. I am asking $550. If you are not interested please feel free to pass my email addresses along to anyone that might be. Thank you and happy new year. Kenny
It was a shame Dario didn’t get into F1, he deserved a seat in a good team, probably their loss.
Great achievements anyway.
When is the 2014 one
Expect to see a full update on Mass Tuning in the next week or so.
i didn think you could get anymore handsome!!! but there you went and done it..what a brat!!!
Awesome coverage of a great event!
De Cadinet is just a privileged playboy but Da Mosto should be good viewing. To me though the glory days of the Targa were the late 60s and early 70s and the master of the circuit surely has to be Vic Elford. His 1972 in car film in an Alfa is required viewing.
when is the 2014 one???

Thanks Herbert, the team puts lots of hard work in to make it all happen.
A really good article, Shawn, and a nice, tasteful and respectful treatment of the tragic loss of one of the drivers. It's always difficult to report on things like that, but it's a part of racing sometimes, I think you handled it really well. Some awesome cars this year and great photos. BTW: When I was heading home, I stopped for gas at a station in Millerton and that fluorescent lime green Muira pulled in to the pumps while I was there. What a sound! Didn't know he'd won any sort of award at LRP.
For this even to be held in los angeles, and a volkswagen taking the win, I can only assume it helps with GTI sales at your local dealerships. On another note, I’m a little bummed to see the Beetle go down after 8 laps. I’d like to see Tanner Foust get a podium in that thing because it is sweet lookin’!
Love the Pro-Touring musclecars!!!
Hey Rhonda! Wanna race?
Looking forward to feeling, not just seeing, the thrill of speed that Carroll Shelby instilled in racing. It was an honor to get to know him in real life.
my all time favorite actor. the king of cool, was the real deal!
Maybe 5 or 6 years ago I went to the Open House and was great, i was telling some of my Hot Rod buddy’s in the Prowlers (the oldest continuous Hot Rod Club in the US) 70 years old in 2017 about it and they are very interested in coming to the next show in 2016, do you have a date set up for this yet.
Now these are some beautiful works of art and engineering!!!!!!!!!! ; )
