Mike Whiddett, better known as Mad Mike, welcomes the shift in seasons with a spectacular Sunday trip in his drift racer ’RADBUL’, as he unleashes 1,200bhp of Mazda 26B-TT MX5 on narrow roads in Denmark. Whiddett is known as the one of the best drifters in the world. With unbelievable precision, he forces ‘RADBUL’ through the Danish turns where the rear end almost kisses the crash barriers.
His New Zealand accent reveals that he doesn’t visit Danish latitudes every day. But as he saw what the twisting and turning roads near the Vejlefjord bridge could offer there was no doubt that ‘RADBUL’ had to visit Denmark.
“It’s wild and very hard to drive. So you have to be really focused to stay on the road.” – Mad Mike.
The development of ‘RADBUL’ has taken Whiddett and his team more than a thousand hours. It was built from the tires up with all the features of ‘RADBUL’ based on his previous drift car builds. What we do know though is the goal from the very start was to build the best drifting car Whiddett had ever seen.
In a bonus clip watch as Daniel Ricciardo takes a decidedly sideways approach to his home grand prix preparations, blasting his way around Melbourne’s Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit alongside his driver for the day Whiddett.
