McLaren Special Operations (MSO) presented two models at the Geneva International Motor Show to showcase its one off vehicle capabilities. The vehicles in question a McLaren P1 hypercar, which are now all sold out and a McLarent 675LT Spider again also all sold out. These two customer projects were loaned to McLaren for the show.
MSO decided to leave the carbon fiber body exposed with nothing more than a Lio Blue lacquer and paired with gloss black wheels on the P1. However that is not all that’s happening here, though as the P1 pays tribute to the legendary McLaren F1, with the exhaust and heatshield covered in 24-carat gold.
Joining it in Geneva will be the 675LT Spider gets a carbon fiber retractable hardtop, carbon fiber front wing louvres, front bumper endplates, side skirts, side intakes and rear bumper all finished in visual carbon too. The Ceramic Grey color is an MSO special, while inside there are a pair of Alcantara-trimmed racing seats. And like the P1, the exhaust heatshield is made from 24-carat gold.
We expect to see these two care lined up alongside the recently-confirmed 650S GT3 racing car and a still-to-be-announced addition to the Sports Series family.
