Weighing just 1,650 pounds and packing 500 horsepower, the Rezvani Beast was a serious track weapon. Now the company is taking the Beast to the next level with its third model in the range and the most powerful yet the Beast X model.
The 2.4-liter four has been boosted to 700 horsepower, thanks to a pair of Borg Warner turbochargers, forged pistons and valves, and other beefed-up internal components. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission or an optional sequential gearbox with paddle shifters.
The changes have added a bit to the curb weight, however it still only tips the scales at 1,850 pounds. With that increase in performance Rezvani have made changes to help the Beast X stay on the ground, side wings provide improved downforce and dual carbon fiber rear wings reduce the drag coefficient and improve handling in the corners. The Beast X also features a revised front and rear fascia give off a more menacing profile. According to Rezvani, the Beast X is good for a 0-60 time of just 2.5 seconds.
Additional models are promised for the future, but the manufacturer says it will only make five built to order Beast Xs, each priced at $325,000. Ownership of the Beast X also givens owners free access to a selection of tracks around the country.
