The Brabus Rocket 900 Desert Gold Edition is an extreme 900hp S-Class that made its debut at the Dubai Motor Show. The S65 sports a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 pumping out 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, however Brabus is here to satisfy those for whom too much is never enough.

In the Rocket 900 Desert Gold Edition, Brabus have upgraded the 5.5-litre V12 and bored it out to 6.3-litres, the pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft were changed to accommodate the extra size, and larger turbos were fitted. Outside of the engine bay the aero, suspension, wheels, exhaust, and a fully refitted interior, complete the transformation. Due to the power increase Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system wasn’t able to handle all the power, so now power is transmitted to the rear wheels alone.

As a result the Brabus Rocket 900 made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, raising the S65’s output to 887 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque. When you talk speed, 0-62mph takes 3.2 seconds, 0-124mph takes just 9.1 and reaches a top speed of over 217mph.

What sets the Desert Gold Edition apart from the existing Rocket 900 is its gold color scheme. The exterior is swathed in the deep gold paint, the black wheels have a gold rim on them, and even the interior gets gold updates.
