Back in April Scion talked about the Release Series special editions, and now we have seen the first RS example of its FR-S coupe. Only 1,500 of the Yuzu colored FR-S RS 1.0 coupes will be made. They will come equipped with a plethora of Toyota Racing Developments (TRD) parts including lowering springs, a quad exhaust system, steering wheel, a shift knob, HID headlamps with LED running lights, pushbutton start, black seats and, a full body aero kit.
Highlighting its exclusivity, each vehicle contains its sequential release series badge (1 of 1500) inlayed on its brushed aluminum shifter surround plate.
“The Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 is the ultimate tribute to motorsports history that not only has the looks for the track, but also brings that energy into the driver’s seat,” said Scion Vice President Doug Murtha.
The $29,990 price applies to cars that use the six-speed manual transmission. If you want the automatic, be prepared to shell out $31,090.
