Beaulieu’s popular Simply Vauxhall rally is now in its second year. This year’s event welcomed over 200 Vauxhalls into the parkland of the National Motor Museum on Sunday the 27th of July.
All models of Vauxhall were welcome to attend, from veterans and classics to the most modern and up-to-date Corsas, Insignias and Astras. Owners enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures whilst meeting other like-minded enthusiasts and admiring the cars on display. They also had the opportunity to explore all the features of the Beaulieu visitor attraction, including the National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear as well as other non-automotive attractions like Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House and gardens.
A number of car clubs were in attendance at the rally, including the Vauxhall Drivers’ Club, VXR Online, CAVMK3 Owners’ Club and MIG Performance Vauxhalls Car Club.
Throughout the day, visitors to the event were asked to vote for their favorite Vauxhall on display in the People’s Choice Awards. In an afternoon presentation ceremony on the Beaulieu Arena, the owner of the winning vehicle was announced as Emma Gribble from Reading with her 2008 Vauxhall Corsa in Sapphire Black. Emma, a member of Corsa-D UK, was presented with a Beaulieu Trophy.
Simply Vauxhall is part of Beaulieu’s Simply Rallies series, which covers a wide variety of themes, makes and models of vehicle. The next Simply Rallies in the 2014 calendar are Simply Japanese on Sunday 3 August 2014 and Simply Land Rover on Sunday 10 August.
