Jon Olsson drifted his 600hp supercar the Rebellion R2K up a snowy slope in Storlien, Sweden.
“This crazy idea turned out to be one of the most exciting mornings that I have ever had. Pushing full gas while sliding sideways on the top of an empty mountain while the sun is just dipping over the horizon is just hard to beat!” –Jon Olsson
There’s no good reason for John Olsson to drive his Rebellion R2K supercar up a ski slope, but that’s exactly what he did recently in Storlien, Sweden.
Olsson a professional skier and known for driving his cars in wintery conditions. The R2K was designed with the help of former Koenigsegg engineer Leif Tufvesson and is based on an Ultima GTR. It’s powered by a 600-hp V10 from a Lamborghini Gallardo and weighs just 2200 lbs. For this particular run, the car was fitted with studded winter tires, which Olsson said made it surprisingly easy to drive.
