NoBraking caught up with MassTuning founder Armin on the eve of the relaunch of the popular motoring group.
Now over ten thousand members strong, MassTuning started as a private group for friends to talk about cars and meet up to drive to events in New England. The group started growing when friends invited their friends and eventually we were asked to host our own meet. Soon after our first meet we created a selection of merchandise, a website and most importantly more events.
Based out of Boston, this has been a learning experience for all of the MassTuning staff who have committed to volunteering for the New England community. From go-karting, to auto-crossing, to a Fast & Furious Movie showing to holding a Paul Walker tribute and fundraiser, it’s been a group effort.
With help from Kaizen Tuning, BeastCoast and attendees to these events, we’re proud to say we collected and donated over $7,000 to the Reach Out Worldwide Foundation. This was recognized by the charity who sent a letter of recognition to MassTuning for its support.
With increasing growth year upon year, 2014 is looking to be our busiest yet. MassTuning is organizing new events such as the Race Wars series which is held at New England Dragway on June 7th and September 20th. HyperDrive Experiences with NASA Northeast June 21st and August 23rd at Thompson Speedway. ADSI autocross dates which are to be formalized later this month and we can’t forget our newest and most important event our first ever Ladies Meet this summer for all of the female enthusiasts.
Continuing with our views of keeping the season going all year round our next official event is the Dyno Day with DynoTech Tuning on February 22nd. MassTuning is celebrating three years of success with a new stage in the launch of the highly anticipated forums.
Last but definitely not least we would like to thank all of our supporters because despite any mishaps, our members motivate us to continue improving every year. We’re looking forward to the future of MassTuning.
