The John Cooper Works (JCW) edition builds on the latest generation Mini Hatch released at the Los Angeles and Tokyo motor shows last year. While Mini has yet to confirm which engine powers the JCW, it is likely to be a tuned version of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine found in the Cooper S. So we are expecting the JCW to have well over 200 horse power.
The new JCW Mini is both longer and wider than the outgoing model, which Mini says has improved its driving characteristics. As the jewel in the Mini fleet, the JCW looks the part with a makeover that includes larger air intakes, LED headlights, an aggressive new bumper, a rear diffuser, side skirts, roof spoiler, trim accents, 18-inch wheels and a sports exhaust.
Although Mini officially refers to this John Cooper Works version as a concept for the moment, it is very likely that a production model will be put into production.
