The all new 2014 SRT Viper is a rare and unique vehicle, but SRT are looking to make it a little bit more unique with a pair of limited-edition models. Only 165 cars will run off the production line as a Viper GTS Anodized Carbon Special Edition. 50 of these coupes will come in the yet-to-be-named metallic matte hue. The metallic finish adds depth while the dark matte color amplifies the Viper’s sinister quality. This is the Chrysler Group’s first use of a metallic matte exterior paint, and the results are sensational.
Other design elements on the special edition include: Black Vapor Chrome five-spoke “Rattler” wheels, Gloss Black GTS badge, Satin Black exhaust bezel, Anodized Carbon fuel filler door, orange brake calipers, carbon fiber brake ducts and rear applique.
Under the hood is the handcrafted, all-aluminum 8.4-liter, mid-front V-10 overhead-valve engine. Performance ratings are 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque – the most torque of any naturally aspirated sports-car engine in the world.
