Details of the 2015 Nismo GT-R, have leaked out ahead of its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. Sources claim the new Godzilla will boast 595 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque from the twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V6, mostly thanks to larger turbos and a revised air intake and exhaust system. This is a rise of 50bhp and 27lb ft over the standard Nissan GT-R and might have possibly come from the GT-R Nismo GT3 racecar.
Other changes also include an upgraded Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT tires fitted to 20-inch wheels, which are said to offer more grip. Aside from the tires the Nismo GT-R also features a “track pack” that includes a plethora of carbon fiber parts including a new front splitter and rear spoiler. The Track Pack was created with the help of the Williams F1 Team with the aim of getting below 7:10 on the Nürburgring.
The Nismo GT-R with these added goodies driven by Michael Krumm set a Nürburgring lap time of 7:08 — much faster than the stock GT-R achieves, was recorded. Interestingly this makes it faster than both a Maserati MC-12 or a Ferrari Enzo around the ‘ring’— for a rumored price of less than $200k. You can see
