Rush is the upcoming American biographical action film directed by Ron Howard and written by Peter Morgan about the rivalry between drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The story focuses on the 1976 Formula One season and the crash that almost killed Niki Lauda. Weeks after the accident, he got behind the wheel to challenge his rival, James Hunt.
Set against the glamorous golden age of Formula One racing, Rush portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed–handsome English playboy Hunt played by Chris Hemsworth and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Lauda Daniel Brühl.
The film is due to be released on September 20, 2013, and was shot on location in the U.K., Germany and Austria.
