Summer Nationals is a four-day event held in Worcester Ma, which brings more than 100,000 people to Worcester. Around 5,000 classic cars and souped-up hot-rods, stunt-bikers, flame-thrower cars, drag racers and more took part in the 2012 New England Summer Nationals over the last weekend. However cars were not just the focus of this four day festival which include Miss Summer National, a drive in and rock and roll from the likes of ex Monkee Peter Tork.
Summer Nationals is all about burning rubber, beer, bikinis and a strange amalgam of Americana. Bob Moscoffian, the mustachioed master of ceremonies brings the event to Worcester every year. Aside from Peter Tork special guests also included Playboy Playmate and Miss July 2012, Shelby Chesnes, who was one of the judges of Miss Summer Nationals and made time to sign autographs and talk with her many fans.
Bob describes the event as “It’s branded as being the wildest party on the East Coast right now, It’s wild but it’s controlled.” He also confirmed that “I couldn’t imagine a better city than Worcester for this event”, adding, “I hope to do Summer Nationals for another 22 years.”
