Import Face-Off is known for being the most innovative Import series in the U.S. this past weekends event at the New England Dragway was no different. The day is much more than just a race or just a show. Import Faceoff fans spend the entire day enjoying the event of the year.
This event focused on the Drag Racing held on the track and the Car Show held behind the stand. With 8 Drag Racing Titles up for grabs including awards for Forced Induction Pro/Sport, All Motor Pro/Sport, FWD, Bracket Class, Outlaw and Top Fuel Dragster it made for a certainly eventful day. This was also interspersed with drivers taking their own car out on the track to see what they could do. It certainly led to some interesting experiences, a few snapped drive shafts, a few top times, one engine fire and a whole host of smiles.
The Car Show on the other hand was literally bursting at the seems with entrants, it was so big the roped off event space behind the stands filtered out of the next two car parks. Obviously with an event this size it led to a vast number of cars to look at and chat to the owners. Some owners were even lucky enough to take home some prizes for things such as Best Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Exotic and Club. Kiet Hong in his RSX took home the coveted “Best Of Show” in his Acuta RSX.
The results of the event are as follows.
