Well here I am in New England and what better way to start it off than attending the annual World of Wheels show in Boston. The show in its 38th year brings together many different types of cars and as a result helps push motoring in New England. Some say it is a chance to finally get the car out of the garage in which for my sake’s a very mild Winter. The show highlighted a few exceptional cars which included a pair of “Bubbletop” hot rods, Mantaray and the
Roswell Rod and an example from Chip Foose at Foose Design the 1957 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing, a very nice custom ride. The show has become well known for treating spectators to displays of hundreds of America’s finest one-of-a-kind hot rods, customs, trucks and motorcycles, specialty and feature vehicles.
Hot rods and customs, however, remain the real stars of the show, and in addition to those created by local car enthusiasts, many feature cars will be displayed. GM showed their race modified Sonic and Ricky Michael SEMA Sonice concept car, while many children and possibly a few adults taking in seat in the 2012 Corvette and Camaro. So there was also a presence of modern cars at the show as well.
World of Wheels car shows take place across the USA and it is great event to check out whether your hardcore car guy or just want to start getting into cars as a hobby.
My gallery below shows an eclectic mix of what you can expect from the World of Wheels Show. Enjoy!
