I would like to welcome NoBraking.com newest team member EJ. You can check out some of his photos on his Flickr Account.
Last week EJ made it back up to the Bay Area’s best drift night “Sonoma Drift” at Infineon Raceway. This is what he had to say.
Hello world my name is E.J Guillory and I am the latest addition to the No Braking family. Wednesday Night Sonoma Drift at Infineon Raceway last week was as always a great event. Quite a few drifters came out to fulfill their sideways craving. Every level of skill was on display from beginners to advanced, all of the competitors were fun to watch. Jason Bostrom from NorCal’s very own ThunderDrift made an appearance in his white 240sx S13 Coupe and had been killing it until one his back tires blew and ended his night prematurely. A little white Toyota Corolla was awesome to watch, a very clean car and watching it brought me back to my days reading Inital D.
I love the track layout, I believe it is a mini Odaiba course based on the D1 Odaiba track in Tokyo. The only thing I would change is reversing the track as the safety barrier is right in front of the crowd!
All in all it was a great event, local drifters, a good time. What more to ask for? Well some may say Drag Racing, and well if you get a chance you can walk behind the pits to check out the local bracket racers.
Come on down and join the crowd every Wednesday at Infineon Raceway.
