Wednesday April 13th was the day chosen to open the season long Sonoma Drift at Infineon Raceway arranged by the team of The Cream Life. It was a merger of Drift, Drag and a Car Show. It was the event to end all events and for only $10 that was donated to help Japan what more do you want.
It was an enthusiastic drift demonstration featuring over 20 of the bests Bay Area Drift racers including Matt Field and Calvin Wan. Not to mention a whole host of drag racers, and a car show with over 100 entrants, and vendors, and musical numbers and of course Import Models.
If you didn’t get a chance to check out the action the event is scheduled to run on Wednesday nights, with the next event taking place on the 4th of May. You can find out more details over at the Infineon site. Drifting registration costs $80 per car and participants must pre-register online or by calling the raceway. Cost for spectators is $10. All cars must have seat belts and mufflers to participate, and sounds levels must not exceed 115 decibels.
